Running metaphors find their way into my teaching, thinking and making all the time, especially when I’ve been sick and I haven’t been able to run.
The hill is your friend.
Warm-up.
The only thing harder than running is not running.
Not everyone is an Olympic runner, but with regular practice, training, perseverance and speed work, you can definitely become competitive.
Training is not just for the body, but also the mind. Practice patience and focus.
And the all time favorite, to run a marathon you must start at the beginning and build slowly.
When I began to practice yoga, I discovered the parallels between the mental training that both offer. The text in today’s collage comes from an article about the crane pose, what can you apply that to today?
