Running metaphors find their way into my teaching, thinking and making all the time, especially when I’ve been sick and I haven’t been able to run.
- The hill is your friend.
- The only thing harder than running is not running.
- Not everyone is an Olympic runner, but with regular practice, training, perseverance and speed work, you can definitely become competitive.
- Training is not just for the body, but also the mind. Practice patience and focus.
- And the all time favorite, to run a marathon you must start at the beginning and build slowly.
