December 17, 2017Let the light enter, December 19, 2017
December 19, 2017There is so much in The New Midlife Crisis: Why (and How) It’s Hitting Gen X Women, by Ada Calhoun, that deeply resonates with me. Various paragraphs help explain some of the internal malaise that I often feel. Naming it, normalizing it, understanding I’m not alone in it, helps me, when I am able to remember! The art that comes out of these moments often reflects back the beauty of the other side, these so-called dark nights of the soul pave the way for openings and opportunities for relating and being in the world that might be just a little better.
Today’s Prompt:
Create a collage that plays with the positive and negative space of an image. For example, find a shape you like, in this case a figure, cut out two versions of them and play with ways of placing them together. Add other elements as desired.
Everyday through December 25th, I’ll be making a 5×5 inch collage, writing a short entry on this blog and sharing a prompt for those who might want to participate along with me.
