Molasses Moon Rise commemorates an adventure on a tiny Caribbean island:
A night when five friends rode bikes down a desolate sugar cane road to watch a midnight moon rise on an obscure little beach.
Each element in this collection: a four-panel accordion painting on paper with handset letterpress text composed by the artist, a small painting on board and a flat, moon-shaped stone (from that said beach); is designed for the reader, to remember your own moments by the sea.
I invite you to hold the stone and meditate on the painting, the words and your own experiences.
