December 7, 201420 years ago I was preparing to move to the tiny island of St. Kitts to begin my service as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I was supposed to have left in July, but two weeks before my departure, my service was delayed, and I got stuck, had the opportunity to live with my parents for six months. I often played Sheryl Crow’s first album Tuesday Night Music Club and one of my favorite memories of all time is my mom singing along to “All I want to do is have some fun” the top hit from that album. That song could be my mom’s anthem…my mother loves to host a party, go to parties, and have fun. Today’s collage reminds me of this memory…

fun and funny the first thing that pops into my head when i hear a sheryl crow song is her music playing in the bar across the street from the PC office in SKB.

It was likely at least a six-month delay, maybe longer. […]
