Making as Consolation (December 8 & 13)
December 2, 2022
Join me at Snow Farm in August!
January 5, 2023Join me in my studio at Greylock Works on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11, from 11am -2pm for a peek into the processes that form my book Collage Your Life.
I began making a collage-a-day Advent Calendar in 2012. I’ve returned to this practice every year since, as a way to find consolation, comfort, and joy during this time when everyone seems so focused on consumption. I asked back in 2012, and now, how can I be in this time in a way that focuses me towards the light: the light of Christ, the light of solstice, the miracle of light that is Hanukkah, the light in my heart and soul.
When I first started making these Advent collage-a-day collages back in 2012, I never imagined a book would come from it. Collage Your Life evolved out of this daily collage practice.
At the Holiday Studio Open House I’ll be showcasing this year’s collages thus far.
AND a make-and-take, in the form of printing holiday inspired coasters will be on deck!
Refreshments will be served.
