July 29, 2019Advent Collage-A-Day Calendar Themes and Prompts
November 28, 2019Anticipation.
So much of life is about the anticipation. Forget the actual event sometimes, right? I’m preparing for my annual Advent Collage-A-Day Calendar Practice and I hope you are up for joining me this year.
In 2012, I began making a collage-a-day as my Advent Calendar to create a moment of quiet during the busy holiday season. Many people join me in this practice, maybe even you! I try to keep it simple and portable. All of my supplies fit into a quart size plastic bag. Some collages take a couple of hours, others take only 10 minutes, it all depends on the day. For the past seven years, I have paired the collage with a blog post and a prompt.
This year I’m doing something a little different.
What to expect this year!
I’ll be posting a list of conceptual and technical prompts for all of Advent no later than November 30th here and on Instagram. You’ll be able to download this list or purchase a little booklet of it from my website. I won’t be writing daily blogs, instead, follow me on Instagram to see how I approach the challenge this year!
To get started, I’ve created collage-a-day kits with all the materials and tools to get you started with your own Advent Calendar Collage-A-Day practice. There are only a couple of these remaining! Get yours here.
