Advent Day Fifteen–What matters now?
December 15, 2013Advent Day Seventeen
December 17, 2013Some of you may know my PRESS: Letterpress as a Public Art Project. If you don’t, please check out the link to see where I spend much of my time. This year we created our first ever letterpress printed 2014 calendar. Each month features a mantra like statement from one of our favorite women in history. My interns helped make this wonderful creation that we printed on 100% cotton Crane paper–which for those who know, is made here in the Berkshires. (Crane also makes the paper that our money is printed on here in the Berkshires, too!)
The calendar is locally made and produced and provides you with inspiration every month for less than $5 a month. They sell for $50 and are truly a letterpress bargain. Rarely can you find a letterpress print for less than $5! We take mail orders or stop by the shop at 49 Main Street to pick yours up. Learn more about it HERE.
Besides promoting the calendar, it’s overall intention was the inspiration for today’s collage–words of encouragement/inspiration from one of my favorite women, Maya Angelou.
